The legendary horror series continues to generate excitement with its new installment, which remains true to its roots. The highly anticipated Resident Evil Requiem trailer was shared with viewers during a special program broadcast on Japanese television. The footage, released by Dusk Golem, a renowned insider, takes fans on a nostalgic journey.
What does the Resident Evil Requiem trailer offer?
This new, 30-second clip provides clear insights into the game’s atmosphere. The video shows our main character, Grace Ashcroft, exploring a haunted mansion. The character, shooting zombies from a third-person perspective and being captured by them, brings the legendary atmosphere of Resident Evil 1 to the present day.
Dusk Golem stated that the shared footage was censored according to Japanese broadcast standards. This version hides any scenes of decapitation or dismemberment. However, the game’s real highlight is its return to Raccoon City. The trailer will also allow players to switch between first- and third-person camera angles to complement both modern and classic fans.
The game’s producer, Masato Kumazawa, confirmed that familiar faces from the series will appear in this installment. However, he also cautioned against overestimating expectations. While fans are particularly focused on Leon Kennedy’s return, there’s no definitive information yet. However, the new character Grace Ashcroft’s connection to the previous games will deepen the story.
