While the excitement for the release of GTA 6 is increasing, Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, the parent company of Rockstar Games, made important statements about the development process of the game. Zelnick stated that Rockstar is in the pursuit of perfection and therefore they are working meticulously to ensure that GTA 6 delivers a flawless experience.

Producers have no doubts about GTA 6

GTA and Take2 boss emphasised that their competitors are not idle and said, ‘We have to constantly improve ourselves. Our competitors are awake and we are aware of this.’ and drew attention to the competition in the game world.

Speaking at a question-and-answer session following the release of the company’s financial reports, Zelnick reiterated Rockstar’s game development philosophy, saying, ‘We believe that arrogance is the greatest enemy of success.’ Stating that they are one of the most innovative and creative companies in the gaming industry, the CEO said that GTA 6 will meet the expectations of the players and will offer an unprecedented gaming experience to date.

Zelnick had made similar statements before and stated that GTA 6 would be the most ambitious game Rockstar has ever developed. In a speech in February 2024, Zelnick said, ‘Rockstar is always looking for perfection,’ and repeated this view in May and said, ‘We want to create an experience that players have never experienced before.’

After years of waiting, the debate over whether GTA 6 will be perfect continues. However, Rockstar’s meticulousness in game development and Take-Two’s awareness of the competition raise the expectations of the players even higher.
