With about 2 months left for Samsung to introduce the Galaxy S25 series, leaks about the Samsung Galaxy S26 series are coming. According to the latest leaks, Samsung is rumoured to remove the Galaxy S26 from the series and continue the road with the Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Samsung may give up the Galaxy S26
It is very close to Samsung’s introduction of the new Galaxy S25 series, and Samsung Galaxy S26 leaks emerging from the company have started to come. The account, which has been on X for a long time under the name @UniverseIce and known for its leaks, says that Samsung may give up the Galaxy S26 this time. According to the leak, Samsung will eliminate the Galaxy S26, the smallest model in the Galaxy S26 series, and continue with the Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra. A similar situation happened this year. When the company introduced the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 series, it launched only two models. While the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra were released, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 was cancelled.
@UniverseIce, on the other hand, Chinese manufacturers make small-sized phones better than Apple and Samsung. While Samsung will suffer losses from small-sized phones in the next few years, Apple will be a little more advantageous thanks to the iOS operating system. With previous leaks, we know that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S25 in the first quarter of 2025. However, with the increasing competition, the Galaxy S26, which is planned to be the smallest of the series, may never come.
Apart from Samsung, Apple also received many criticisms with iPhone 16 this year. Users were very critical of the iPhone 16, which was released in 2024, coming with a 60 Hz screen and not much noticeable difference with the iPhone 16 Pro series. Although Samsung appeals to many users even with the smallest model of the flagship series, many people like @UniverseIce think that Chinese manufacturers are better. The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is expected to be introduced in the first quarter of 2026.
