Almost every reliable leak about the Galaxy S26 series has painted a similar picture: The upcoming Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra models will feature a camera island similar to the one seen on the Fold 7. Now, Samsung has indirectly confirmed this design.
Spotted in One UI 8.5 software
Official renders of the Galaxy S26 series, spotted by Android Authority in the recently leaked One UI 8.5 benchmark software, have revealed the rough shapes of the three upcoming premium phones. And they look as expected.

While the renders in question are crude, they confirm that all three phones—codenamed M1 (base S26), M2 (S26+), and M3 (S26 Ultra)—will feature a single camera island similar to the Fold 7, with circular cutouts for each sensor. This represents a definite departure from the separate floating camera lenses seen on the Galaxy S25 series.
The images also suggest that the Galaxy S26 Ultra may indeed have slightly more rounded corners. However, since the images seen in the One UI 8.5 leak are so crude that they don’t even represent the LED flash, the accuracy of fine details should be treated with caution.
Previous leaks confirmed that the letter ‘M’ in the codenames referred to stands for Miracle. This is the codename Samsung uses internally to refer to the Galaxy S26 series.
Regarding One UI 8.5, the Galaxy S25 series is reportedly expected to receive beta software as early as the week of December 8th. The Galaxy S26 series will be the first to ship with One UI 8.5 out of the box. Just as the Galaxy S26 is an improvement on the existing S25 series aesthetic, the One UI 8.5 update is expected to be a refinement of the existing One UI 8.0 software, and both are expected to be based on Android 16.
