Samsung’s 2025 OLED television demonstrates its technological ambitions with the “True Black” certification it received from Germany’s respected testing and certification body, the VDE. This certification officially confirms that Samsung’s S95F model delivers superior image quality in both bright and dark environments.
Samsung receives new OLED certification
The new OLED TV underwent a series of rigorous tests to achieve VDE’s “True Black” certification. These tests comprehensively evaluated the television’s display performance in various lighting conditions. For example, the extent to which ambient light in a sunny room affects the viewing experience was measured.

Furthermore, the screen’s black level performance was specifically tested, requiring a value of 0.005 nits or less. Surface brightness was also examined to determine the level of glare.
The television’s advanced anti-glare technology is said to have played a significant role in achieving this certification. Thanks to this technology, the S95F model is anti-reflective and achieves excellent black accuracy even in direct sunlight.
In addition to this superior visual performance, Samsung’s 2025 OLED TV lineup has also previously received AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility certifications, delivering a smooth gaming experience.
This achievement reinforces Samsung’s leadership in OLED technology and strengthens the brand’s position in the premium television market. This certification from an independent organization like the VDE creates a significant confidence boost for consumers. Samsung elevates both movie-watching and gaming experiences by leveraging cutting-edge technology.
