Samsung has been developing One UI 8.0, based on Android 16, for a long time. Earlier this month, it was announced that the beta version, which has been released for many devices, would be available not only for older Galaxy Z and Galaxy S series devices but also for the Galaxy A series. One of the eligible devices for this program is the Galaxy A35, and the first evidence has surfaced online suggesting the beta software will be released soon. Here are the details.
One UI 8.0 Beta Coming to the Galaxy A35
Leader Tarun Vats has spotted the first beta version of One UI 8.0, based on Android 16, for the Galaxy A35 on Samsung’s server. This leak confirms that Samsung will release the update on time, ahead of the official release scheduled for September 2025. As seen in the image, the software version is codenamed A356EXXU5ZYH4.

One UI 8, which will bring the Android 16 update to Samsung devices, while not as major an update as One UI 7.0, offers many new features. These include an improved split-screen view, an updated Now Bar that supports more card types, a redesigned Quick Share, an improved Secure Folder, and the new Samsung DeX.
However, it’s worth noting that Samsung may not be able to roll out all these changes to every device. More affordable models like the Galaxy A series may miss out on some features.
