Samsung, one of the successful players in the smartphone market, is counting down to the release of its new phone, which will receive six years of updates. The new device, to be named the Galaxy A56, is expected to target the mid-range segment and feature a price tag that won’t disappoint users. Recent developments reveal the performance test results of the product.
Samsung Galaxy A56 in Performance Tests
The Galaxy A56, bearing the model number SM-A566B, has appeared in the Geekbench database. The smartphone achieved a score of 1,355 in single-core tests and 3,913 in multi-core tests, indirectly revealing some of its features.
The device will be powered by the Exynos 1580 processor. Introduced a few months ago, this chipset houses a 2.9 GHz high-performance Cortex-A720 core, three additional Cortex-A720 cores at 2.6 GHz, and four Cortex-A520 cores clocked at 1.95 GHz for efficiency.
Another standout detail is the update support. Samsung will continue its tradition of providing six years of software support to mid-range models, a practice it began with the Galaxy A16 5G. The Galaxy A56 is expected to launch with a price range of 450 to 500 euros. However, the exact release date remains unknown.
The Galaxy A56 is anticipated to feature a camera setup similar to its predecessors. This includes a triple-camera configuration with a 50 MP main sensor, a 12 MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 5 MP macro sensor. Additionally, a new 12 MP selfie camera will be present on the front.
