A few days ago, Xiaomi held a major launch event, where the company introduced a lot of new devices, including the Xiaomi Band 8. On the other side, Samsung has focused on Wear OS-based smartwatches for a long time, so the company hasn’t launched any fitness bands recently. However, it seems that Samsung has been working on a new fitness band, the Galaxy Fit 3, to compete with Xiaomi Band 8. Here are the details about Samsung’s Xiaomi Band 8 rival fitness band…
Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 will be a Xiaomi rival
Although the South Korean tech giant hasn’t shared any details about the expected fitness band, the reports reveal several details, including specifications. According to the latest leaks, the upcoming Galaxy Fit 3 has passed the FCC certification recently. Also, it comes with model number SM-R390. Moreover, it is claimed that the upcoming band will have a heart rate sensor and more.
On the leaked render image, we can see that there are a heart rate sensor on the rear, and two pogo pins for charging. If the model number, render, and schematics are true, we can say that Samsung is really preparing to launch a fitness band.
While there is nothing about the specs of the Galaxy Fit 3, depending on its predecessor, the Galaxy Fit 2, which has a 1.1-inch full-color AMOLED screen, 5ATM water resistance up to 50m, a heart rate monitor, gyro, accelerometer, automatic workout detection, and sleep tracking, we can say that the Galaxy Fit 3 should be equipped with more sensors.
The current Galaxy Fit 2 doesn’t have features like GPS and runs on a specific operating system called rtOS. People are looking forward to the next version, Galaxy Fit 3, hoping it will come with more advanced software, GPS, and storage for music. Also, it seems like the Fit 3 might have a bigger screen because it looks a bit wider.
