New details have come to light about Samsung’s highly anticipated smart glasses project, Galaxy Glasses. Leaks belonging to the One UI 8.5 interface show how the device will interact with smartphones. The leaked information clarifies how the glasses will appear in the phone’s Bluetooth list and with which icon they will be represented. This new wearable technology product is preparing to become an important part of the Samsung ecosystem.
Galaxy Glasses and One UI 8.5 Integration
According to the information shared by Samsung executive Jay Kim, these glasses will not be a standalone product. The device will benefit from the power of the smartphone it is connected to for data processing processes.

The icons found in the system files prove that the glasses will appear like Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Watch in the Bluetooth device list. Users will see the device icon on the left of the list, its name in the middle, and the settings button on the right. It is stated that Samsung is currently working on two different smart glasses with the model numbers SM-O200P and SM-O200J. The company is expected to release the first of these models this year and the other in 2027. On the technical specifications side, leaks indicate that at least one model will have a 12 MP Sony IMX681 CMOS sensor.
In addition, it is rumored that both models will be equipped with a battery with a capacity of 155 mAh. The design process and software integration of the glasses aim to increase Samsung’s assertiveness in the wearable technology market. These new visuals prepared for the One UI Design Kit make it feel like the device is close to reaching the end user. What do you think about these next-generation smart glasses from Samsung?
