In the past weeks, the news that the “Fan Edition” series could be continued this year came to the agenda. In other words, it was said that the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE model could be launched in the coming period. Samsung Galaxy S20 FE made a lot of noise in the market, so the Galaxy S21 FE was introduced. Samsung, which skipped the Galaxy S22 FE, came to the agenda last week with the detail that the FE series will not pass 2023 empty.
Again, Samsung may have canceled the Galaxy S23 FE
A South Korea-based source said that the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE could be launched towards the end of the year. It was said that the phone will be a “price-performance” oriented version of the Galaxy S23. Later, it made a sound with the detail that it could be built on Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor, not Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 like Galaxy S23.
Another solid source who spoke about the phone yesterday claimed that the Galaxy S23 FE will not come. Roland Quandt, who said only “It looks like there won’t be an S23 FE this year” for now, seems to have shelved the Galaxy S23 FE rumors early, as he has important sources in the industry. For Samsung, it was previously reported that it would cancel the Galaxy A74 model in order to highlight the affordable flagship Galaxy S23 FE.
The company is experiencing a decline on the phone side due to global economic problems and needs powerful but relatively inexpensive phones more than ever to change this. In this respect, if the Galaxy S23 FE is really canceled, it means that great potential will be missed.
So what could the specs be like if it does come out? According to The Elec, Samsung will include a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor in the Galaxy S23 FE. The Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor has Cortex-X2 at 3.19 GHz, three Cortex-A710 cores running at 2.75 GHz, and four Cortex-A510 cores running at 1.80 GHz. The graphics interface of the processor produced with 4nm technology is Adreno 730.
