Today, Samsung launched new devices at its Galaxy Unpacked event. The South Korean tech giant unveiled three new Android smartphone models, Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and S23 Ultra. While the S23 Ultra is at the top of the list, the Galaxy S23 Plus follows the high-end flagship model. According to the official announcements, the Galaxy S23+ comes with significant features and great specifications. Here are the details about the Samsung Galaxy S23+.
Galaxy S23+ is available in 8GB / 256GB variant
It is a bit weird, but Samsung launched the new Galaxy S23 Plus with only one option. The customers can only buy the 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage option of the S23+. In addition, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s latest chipset, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. However, Samsung uses a modified version of the chipset for its flagship device. The new chipset is called “Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy”. The company explains, When stopping is not an option, this revolutionary chip powers your phone to deliver better gaming and video streaming, with extended battery life to carry you through the most epic of days.”
On the display side, the South Korean firm launches the phone with a 6.6-inch FHD+ OLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and 2340×1080 pixels resolution, and Dynamic AMOLED 2x technology. Samsung also launches the device with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, the same as in the S23 Ultra. According to the announcements, the device comes with Black, Beige, Green, and Light Pink color options, and it measures 157.8mm x 76.2mm x 7.6mm and weighs 195 grams.
In terms of camera, the S23+ features a 50-megapixel main, 12-megapixel ultra-wide, 10-megapixel 3x optic zoom telephoto, and a 12-megapixel selfie camera. The camera system offers 8K 30fps, 4K 30-60fps video resolution support on the back, and 4k 30-60fps video resolution support on the front. Samsung offers the new feature “Camera Assistant” to take more quality photos. Thanks to this feature, users will be able to take great photos even at night. Especially, the company worked the camera to take better photos and videos at night and in darkness. Samsung called the feature to take photos and videos in low light “Nightography“.
Samsung explains, Night Mode is a smartphone feature that enables you to take vivid, highly optimised photos, even in the dark. Meaning you can avoid taking washed out, blurry night images. Pictures look sharp due to the innovative AI multi-frame processing which combines 30 images into just one epic shot, optimising colour and detail in every pixel.”
The Galaxy S23+ comes with Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, Accelerometer, Barometer, Fingerprint, Gyro, Geomagnetic, Hall, Light, and Proximity sensors.
