The highly anticipated Galaxy S25 series by Samsung is now on the countdown. With the smartphones set to launch in early 2025, new details about the devices continue to emerge daily. Most recently, the Galaxy S25 Plus has appeared in performance tests.
Galaxy S25 Plus spotted in performance tests
The Galaxy S25 Plus, with the model number SM-S936U, has been listed in the Geekbench 6 database. The smartphone achieved 3,160 points in single-core tests and 9,941 points in multi-core tests.
This isn’t the first time the Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus has shown up in performance tests. Back in September, the smartphone also underwent Geekbench tests, scoring 3,054 in single-core and 9,224 in multi-core tests.
When comparing the two sets of results, we can see that the smartphone’s performance has improved. A closer look at the tests reveals that the Snapdragon 8 Elite powering the device has had its clock speed increased from 4.19 GHz to 4.47 GHz. This suggests that Samsung has made optimizations to enhance user experience with the processor.
It’s worth noting that Samsung doesn’t use standard Qualcomm processors in its flagship models. For the upcoming Galaxy S25 series, a customized chipset called Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy is expected to be used.
Additionally, the South Korean manufacturer hasn’t completely abandoned its in-house Exynos 2500 processor. It’s highly likely that the new smartphones will feature Exynos processors in smaller quantities. However, based on recent reports, there’s little doubt that Qualcomm’s chip will take center stage in the new series.
