As preparations for the Samsung Galaxy S25 series accelerate, a rumor is circulating that excites the market. The latest leaks for the Galaxy S25 Slim revealed that the device will be just 6 millimeters thin. This means a much thinner design than the Galaxy S24’s 7.6 mm case.
What will the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim offer?
Galaxy S25 Slim will compete with the iPhone 17 Air model, which Apple will allegedly introduce this year. However, it is not yet clear how Samsung will achieve this thinness without compromising on hardware, battery life or cooling. Accordingly, silicon-carbon anode batteries could play a key role.
Silicon-carbon anode technology can increase the energy density of smartphone batteries, offering longer battery life or a thinner design. It also provides heat management for the Galaxy S25 Slim’s performance.
The device is also expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. In the camera department, the Galaxy S25 Slim is said to feature a 200 Megapixel main camera using the Samsung Isocell HP5 sensor. This sensor is smaller than the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s HP2 sensor, so it may allow for a more compact camera module.
