Samsung has completed work on its new model to reach more users in the smartwatch market. According to a report published by Android Headlines, the specifications of Samsung’s Galaxy Watch FE, which is expected to be affordable, have emerged in the IMEI database.
Samsung Galaxy Watch FE specifications are becoming clearer
In 2024, Samsung is expected to introduce three variants of the Galaxy Watch 7: a standard model, a ‘Classic’ model, and a ‘Pro’ model with a larger battery. This move is similar to the strategy adopted by Apple with its Watch series.
Apart from the model number SM-R866, not much else is known about the Galaxy Watch FE. Some sources suggest that it could be a refreshed version of the Galaxy Watch 4 mentioned a few months ago. If this claim is accurate, we might expect the new model to feature the Exynos W920 chipset and a familiar hardware design.
“The Exynos W920 chipset produced by Samsung features 2 ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.18GHz. The chipset, manufactured using 5nm technology, also includes a G68 MP2 graphics interface.
There is curiosity about Samsung’s pricing strategy for the Galaxy Watch FE model. The Galaxy Watch 6 starts at $299. Analysts predict that Samsung may offer the Galaxy Watch FE for $199, while noting that the Apple Watch SE is priced at $250.
The new model is expected to be introduced alongside the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 family. The screen specifications of the device are not yet known.
