Samsung is preparing to raise the bar once again in mobile photography. According to new information, the company is working on a new smartphone project that offers interchangeable lens support. This device could be a modern continuation of the Galaxy Zoom series.
The Galaxy Zoom series may return
The concept of interchangeable lenses in mobile devices has been on the agenda in the past with Sony’s modules with E-mount lens systems. Samsung, on the other hand, was one of the first brands to integrate optical zoom and large lens structures into smartphones with models such as the Galaxy S4 Zoom and Galaxy K Zoom.

Now, this experience is preparing to be brought to life again with more advanced hardware and integrated solutions. The module in the new project is not just an accessory; it will be in a structure integrated directly into the device.
The system includes a camera sensor, motors that move the lenses, and a connection mechanism compatible with the interchangeable lens unit. This structure will be able to change the optical capabilities of the device in a modular manner and will provide professional-level shooting with different lens types.
It is not yet clear which device family Samsung will launch this technology with. However, it is seen as a strong possibility that the company will bring back the Galaxy Zoom series by modernizing it or integrate it into future models of the Galaxy S series.
This development shows that Samsung is preparing to take a new position against its competitors in the field of mobile photography. So what do you think about this? You can share your views with us in the comments section below.
