Samsung is continuing its work on the Galaxy S26 series, which it plans to unveil in early 2026. According to recently surfaced reports, the South Korean brand is preparing to bring back a concept it used in previous years. Here are the details!
Galaxy S26 Series to Feature Exynos/Snapdragon Variants
Samsung is expected to introduce the Galaxy S26 series in early 2026, and rumors suggest that the Exynos–Snapdragon split might be making a comeback. According to claims, the European variants of the series will feature the Exynos 2600 chipset, while models in other regions will come with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor. Although not confirmed yet, this strategy could once again spark criticism over performance differences between the two variants.

Reliable industry sources indicate that the Exynos 2600, built on a 2nm architecture, will only be used in Europe due to production efficiency issues. In other regions, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will be the preferred option. However, this regional split is expected to apply only to the S26 and S26+ models. Just like the S24 Ultra, the S26 Ultra will likely be equipped with a Snapdragon processor globally.
Samsung’s decision to use Exynos chips in Europe may, as mentioned above, lead to criticism regarding performance differences. Reports suggest that while the Exynos 2600 might offer good battery life like the Exynos 2400 in the S24, it could fall short in areas such as gaming performance compared to the Snapdragon’s Adreno GPU.
