Samsung is finally making its Good Lock app available globally. Previously only available in select regions and via the Galaxy Store, the popular customization tool is now available for download worldwide via the Google Play Store. So what is this Good Lock? What does it do? Details in our news…
What does Good Lock, Samsung’s upcoming Play Store launch, do?
Good Lock is a powerful tool that allows Samsung users to deeply customize the One UI interface without the need for complicated rooting. But until now, the app’s limited regional reach has prevented many users from taking advantage of these features.
Samsung has officially announced that Good Lock will be ported to the Play Store and will be available in all countries alongside One UI 7. We expect One UI 7, based on Android 15, to launch in January alongside the introduction of the Galaxy S25 series. This change will be a response to long-standing user requests for access to Good Lock. Meanwhile, Samsung is not only expanding the reach, but also redesigning Good Lock’s main app. Among the new features are the following:
- Filtering system: Filtering options to manage Good Lock apps more easily.
- “My Page” section: A personalized section that will allow users to better manage their app experience.
- Compatibility updates: Various Good Lock apps will soon be updated to be fully compatible with One UI 7.
One of the notable features coming with One UI 7 will be “Camera Continuity”. This feature will allow users to use the cameras of their Galaxy devices in an integrated way with their Galaxy Book laptops.
