Samsung may introduce a new tri-foldable phone model at the Galaxy Unpacked event to be held on July 9. New information from China suggests that the South Korea-based technology company will introduce its first tri-foldable phone called Galaxy G Fold to the public in July. The Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Watch 8 series are also expected to be announced at the same event.
Samsung will come out with a tri-foldable phone
The introduction of the Galaxy G Fold has not yet been officially confirmed by Samsung. However, according to the information shared, the phone is planned to go on sale in October. Details about the product remain largely confidential. The company has not released any technical specifications, design details or visuals about this model to date.

When Samsung introduced the S25 Edge model at the Unpacked event held at the beginning of the year, it attracted attention by displaying a prototype and promotional image of the tri-foldable form factor. It is considered that the same strategy can be followed in July. There is a possibility that the company will not bring the final version of the Galaxy G Fold to the Unpacked stage, but only a draft or concept study.
The model is called the Galaxy G Fold. There is no explanation or leaked information about what the letter “G” used in the name of the device represents. October is indicated for the exact launch date of the phone.
This date is similar to Samsung’s previous new form factor device introductions. However, the first official step taken regarding this product at the event in July may be a signal of a new opening in the company’s marketing strategy.
This step by Samsung coincides with a period when competition in the foldable device segment is heating up. With the recent introduction of Xiaomi’s new foldable model MIX Flip 2, the market activity has increased. A device that can be folded three times represents a new threshold for the industry in terms of both technical and design.
No official statement has been made by Samsung on the subject. However, the Unpacked event on July 9 could pave the way for the debut of not only well-known product lines but also devices that open up a new category.
