In 2021, Samsung made an investment of 20 billion dollars to build a chip factory in the US state of Texas. According to the information, the company will increase its total investment to $44 billion by taking advantage of the US CHIPS Act.
For those who don’t know, the CHIPS Act, which the US enacted last year, aims to increase semiconductor production and thus alleviate chip shortages. It also aims to attract companies to the US. So far, Intel and NVIDIA have received support under this law. Now Samsung is joining these companies.
