Samsung has started the countdown for its upcoming Android 16-based One UI 8 update. The South Korean tech giant is expected to unveil the new version at its Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9, alongside the introduction of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and Flip 7 FE models. The general rollout is anticipated to begin shortly after the event, starting with compatible devices.
Samsung Is Testing One UI 8 on the Galaxy Z Fold 5
Samsung is currently testing the One UI 8 update on the international version of the Galaxy Z Fold 5, with the model number SM-F946B. According to information shared by tipster Tarunvats, an internal test build has been spotted on the company’s servers for the foldable device.

Given that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is among the models expected to receive the One UI 8 update, this development comes as no surprise. Once the rollout begins, the foldable phone is likely to be among the first to receive the stable version.
