As December entered, Samsung detailed the December 2025 security patch for its Galaxy phones and tablets, and the brand began rolling it out almost a week later. The flagship Galaxy S25 models were the first to receive the patch.
December 2025 Patch Coming to the Galaxy S25 Series and S25 FE!
Samsung initially launched the software update for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra in South Korea. This update includes the December 2025 security patch, which addresses 57 vulnerabilities in total and is reportedly 578.57 MB in size.

Shortly afterward, Samsung released the same security patch for its more affordable “distant cousin,” the Galaxy S25 FE. The S25 FE patch, which comes with software version S731NKSS3AYKG, is 344.76 MB in size and also addresses 57 vulnerabilities. The update was first rolled out in South Korea.
Samsung typically begins rolling out an update to other regions worldwide a few days after releasing it in Korea. To check if the December 2025 security patch has been released for your region, go to Settings > Software Update > Download and install on your phone.
