Samsung is adding a new one to its investments in the US. The statement was made by US President Donald Trump. Trump reminded that many global companies are turning to the US market; and said that Samsung has joined these companies.
Samsung is making a huge investment in the US
Trump stated that Samsung is planning a huge facility investment and that this decision was made thanks to the new tax policies implemented. The company is expected to make the official announcement in the coming days. This move is expected to be an important precedent for other Far Eastern companies.

Samsung currently has over 20 billion dollars of investment in the US. Thanks to these investments, more than 10 thousand people are employed. The company plans to put new production facilities with 2-nanometer production technology into operation in the state of Texas by 2027.
Although the full scope of the new investment has not yet been announced, expanding existing facilities and increasing production capacity are among the options. Samsung has not made an official statement on the subject, but it is stated that the company is preparing a new announcement following Trump’s statements.
After companies such as Apple, TSMC and SoftBank turned to the US in a similar manner, Samsung’s move has once again shown the “Trump” effect in the technology sector.
