Samsung, a leading Android phone manufacturer, continues production at full speed with its many facilities worldwide. Vietnam has become the company’s main production center for phones. Exporting from its factories in Vietnam to markets as far away as North America to meet global demand, the tech giant announced that it has produced 2 billion Galaxy phones in its factories to date. Here are the details.
Samsung’s Production Network in Vietnam
Samsung’s first factory in Vietnam was established in 2009. Since then, its production base has rapidly expanded to include multiple production units across Vietnam. Galaxy phones are primarily produced at Samsung’s factories in Bac Ninh and Thai Nguyen.

Samsung celebrated the significant milestone of exceeding 2 billion units in total phone production at both factories, which began operations in April 2009. TM Roh, president of Samsung’s Mobile division, met with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to commemorate the occasion.
Roh stated that other Samsung Group companies are also keen to continue increasing their investments in Vietnam. Samsung Vietnam generated $31.6 billion in revenue in the first six months of the year, $28 billion of which came from exports. These figures further underscore Vietnam’s vital role in Samsung’s ability to meet global demand.
In addition, Samsung announced that it will hold a new Galaxy event in the coming days, at which it will likely announce models such as the Galaxy S25 FE and Galaxy Tab S11 series.
