As usual, Samsung is rolling out security updates this month. Following the initial release of the August 2024 security update for Google Pixel devices, Samsung has now released the same update for its Galaxy S22 series, which was introduced two years ago. August 2024 Update for Galaxy S22 Series Released
The security update, initially rolled out by Google for Pixel devices, is now being made available by Samsung for its Galaxy S23, S24, and A series, as well as the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra.
According to reports, the update addresses 50 security vulnerabilities, with 35 of them classified as critical. The update also fixes significant access control issues on Samsung devices and is recommended to be installed promptly.
The August 2024 update, with software versions S901USQS6EXG8, S906USQS6EXG8, and S908USQS6EXG8, is currently available for the U.S. versions of the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra.
