While Samsung is making significant progress on One UI 8, it’s also making sure to distribute security patches. The South Korean brand recently released the August 2025 update for two of its popular models.
August 2025 update released for Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are the latest Samsung models to receive the August 2025 update. The patch, with build numbers F936NKSS6HYGB and F721NKSS6HYGB, is currently limited to models in South Korea. It is expected to be released in more countries in the coming days. However, it addresses security vulnerabilities and provides a more stable user experience.

If the update notification hasn’t been automatically sent to your device, you can manually update your phone/tablet to the new version by following Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. If you still can’t find the update after following these steps, you may need to wait a little longer, as the patch may not have reached your region yet.
