Samsung is preparing to add a photo-video creation feature to its AI-powered Galaxy AI suite. The company will develop this new function by using Google’s Gemini AI. It has not been announced when the feature will be officially released, but it is expected to be available with the One UI 8 update.
Samsung phones are starting to create videos from images
According to the latest leaks; Samsung’s new AI tool that will be integrated into Galaxy phones will have the capacity to produce short video scenes from a still image. This ability is based on Gemini’s advanced video production infrastructure, which was recently introduced by Google.

The close cooperation between Gemini, which is currently the default virtual assistant on Galaxy devices, and Samsung also strengthens this possibility. Samsung will not be the first manufacturer to integrate the feature into its devices.
Honor will be the first brand to offer this technology with the Honor 400 series, which is planned to be introduced soon. The company will offer this service for free for the first two months, after which a paid subscription model will be introduced.
Samsung may also offer this feature to users with a similar commercial model. However, no official statement has yet been made regarding the pricing or access model. On the other hand, the Honor example shows that AI-based features in the sector may increasingly shift to a paid model.
