Previous reports about Samsung’s highly anticipated XR (Extended Reality) headset indicated that it would be unveiled on September 29, 2025, and go on sale on October 13, 2025. However, a new report claims that these dates have been pushed back. The date for the Galaxy TriFold has also been announced. Here are the details.
The Galaxy TriFold could be unveiled later
According to leaks, Samsung’s first XR headset will be released on October 21, 2025. The company is expected to announce the product’s specifications on the same day and release it immediately thereafter. Along with this claim, details about the XR headset have also emerged.

Samsung is rumored to set a price of around 2 million KRW (South Korean Won) for its first XR headset. This price is lower than the Apple Vision Pro but higher than the Meta Quest 3. The company is said to initially plan to ship approximately 100,000 units and will adjust future shipments based on market response.
Previous reports suggested that Samsung would launch its first dual-folding display smartphone (also known as a tri-folding display) alongside the XR headset. However, the latest news from Korea indicates that the Galaxy TriFold will arrive later, likely in late October or November.
Reports also indicate that Samsung will release its first XR glasses, developed in collaboration with Google, early next year. Samsung’s first XR headset is expected to be based on the prototype XR headset, dubbed “Project Mooohan,” that it unveiled in December 2024. This new move by Samsung is likely to further intensify competition in the AR/VR market.
