The first signs of the processor to be used in Samsung’s mid-range model Galaxy A57 have emerged. According to the latest information, the phone will be powered by the Exynos 1680 processor. The chipset was registered with the model number S5E8865.
Samsung’s new Exynos 1680 processor leaked
The Exynos 1580 used in the Galaxy A56 model was introduced in recent months and offered with Samsung’s 4nm production technology. This processor was equipped with one Cortex-A720 operating at 2.9 GHz, three Cortex-A720 at 2.6 GHz and four Cortex-A520 cores at 1.95 GHz. On the graphics side, there is the Xclipse 540 GPU developed in partnership with AMD.

It is stated that the new model is built on its predecessor. It was stated that the Exynos 1680 will again feature the same core architectures, but this time the core configuration may be different. In particular, a 1+4+3 arrangement aims to improve the balance of performance and efficiency.
On the graphics side, there is a more advanced hardware expectation. Information was shared that the Exynos 1680 could host a new GPU based on AMD’s RDNA 3.5 architecture. In addition, it seems likely that the processor will be developed with Samsung’s 4nm production process, just like the Exynos 1580.
However, we can say that the details are not finalized for now and the current information is mostly based on technical leaks. The Galaxy A57 is expected to be introduced with this processor in the first quarter of 2026.
