The anticipated announcement for the first Xbox game coming to PS5 has arrived! New information has surfaced regarding the PS5 version of Sea of Thieves. The game, set to be one of the first titles available on PlayStation 5, will support cross-platform play.
Sea of Thieves for PS5: What to Expect
One of the most significant features of the Sea of Thieves PS5 version is the inclusion of cross-play and cross-progression support between PlayStation and Xbox. Players will be able to join their friends regardless of the platform they’re playing on.
Additionally, players will have the option to disable cross-play and limit matchmaking to only those using gamepads, thus preventing PlayStation 5 owners from facing off against PC gamers using a mouse and keyboard.
Users who have played the game on other platforms will be able to synchronize their progress, including characters, cosmetics, and in-game currency, with the PS5 version.
Moreover, Sea of Thieves on PS5 will offer players the choice between 4K 60 FPS or 1080p 120 FPS modes, leveraging the console’s hardware capabilities. The game will also support the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
Multiplayer gameplay will require a PlayStation Plus subscription, but those interested in playing the story mode can enjoy the Safer Seas mode without it. Sea of Thieves for PlayStation 5 is priced at 999 TL and is currently available for pre-order.
