Seasonic, the PSU manufacturer, made a surprise move regarding the AMD Radeon RX 7000 series. The manufacturer listed unreleased GPUs such as the 7990 XTX, 7950 XTX, and 7950 XT on their website. These unreleased GPUs were listed before any official launch by Seasonic.
Will AMD Radeon 7000 series GPUs give the expected?
AMD has not officially announced any new RX 7000 GPUs within the Radeon series so far. Reports suggesting that the next-generation “RDNA 4” series has been postponed to 2025 are gaining more traction each day. Seasonic listed the Radeon RX 7900 XT, Radeon RX 7800 XT, and Radeon RX 7700 XT before their official announcements.
The AMD Radeon RX 7000 Series graphics cards, based on AMD RDNA 3 chipset technology, promise unprecedented gaming performance at 4K and beyond. With AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution and Radeon Super Resolution technologies offering enhanced clock speeds, they provide incredible visuals. Now, let’s look at the listed GPUs. Four new AMD Radeon RX 7000 GPUs were listed:
- Radeon RX 7990 XTX
- Radeon RX 7950 XTX
- Radeon RX 7950 XT
- Radeon RX 7700
- Radeon RX 7500 XT
It’s currently unknown whether the list directly came from AMD. For RX 7900 XT and 7800 XT, a 750W PSU is recommended, while for RX 7700 XT, a 650W PSU is advised. These power requirements are in line with corresponding Radeon RX 6000 models. The new graphics cards indicate that AMD aims for a 50% performance/watt increase compared to RDNA 2, with performance expected to increase by up to 40% according to recent leaks.
