OnePlus introduced the 12 and 12R models at the launch event organized today. OnePlus 12R is intriguing as the company’s first R series model to be released globally. So what does the 12R offer that will appeal to the affordable mid-upper level?

OnePlus’ latest performance-oriented flagship, the 12R, is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. It’s available with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The 12R comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED LTPO 4.0 display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This panel has a maximum brightness of 4500 nits and supports features such as HDR10+ and 10-bit color depth.
The 12R features OnePlus’ “most advanced cooling system ever” to prevent overheating. It’s also powered by an 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging 5500mAh battery that’s claimed to last all day. The company says it is fully charged in just 30 minutes.
On the camera side, the 12R offers a 50 Megapixel main camera using the Sony IMX890 sensor. Additional lenses include an 8 Megapixel ultra-wide and 2 Megapixel macro sensor. For selfies, it has a 16 Megapixel front camera.
12R has a starting price of 500 dollars. The device, which comes in Cold Blue and Iron Gray colors, is expected to be available in global soon.
