SnowRunner is a 2020 off-road simulation video game developed by Saber Interactive and published by Focus Home Interactive. Following on from Spintires and the sequel MudRunner, the game was announced as MudRunner 2 in August 2018. Focus Home, and Saber Interactive decided to re-reveal the title as SnowRunner a year later. The game was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on April 28, 2020, which was followed by a port for Nintendo Switch on May 18, 2021. The game gets a new update today, bringing many fixes, improvements, and adjustments.

UI/UX Improvements

Added RGB Selector in Garage for painting trucks
Updated the Trailer Store UI
Updated the Cargo slots UI
Added Maintenance pop-up
Fixed some missing or mixed UI buttons when the DualSense or DualShock gamepads are connected

Render Improvements

Fixed the issue with falling terrain parts in Co-op sessions
Visual improvement of puddles near the Garage
Visual improvement of the field terrain after cultivation
Fixed visual issue with aurora borealis sky

Vehicle Fixes & Improvements

Fixed dashboard indicators of EarthRoamer trucks
Fixed some issues with ‘Hood Ornaments’ items for EarthRoamer trucks
Fixed the issue where the light on the ‘Heavy Duty Pipe’ upgrade didn’t match the location of the headlights on the EarthRoamer SX truck
Fixed the issue with ‘Futom-S’ and ‘Futom-M’ logging trailers missing for some trucks
Fixed some issues with interior stickers for different trucks
Fixed the shaking rearview mirror while driving if any ‘Accessories’ upgrade is installed on the Futom 7290RA truck
Fixed the driver’s hands appearing outside the truck texture in cockpit mode of the GMC MH9500 truck

​Co-op

Fixed: Users from the blocklist no longer become unblocked after creating a co-op session (Steam)
Fixed: Players now correctly appear in the ‘Recent Players’ list

Other Changes

Trucks can now be purchased in any region. The only limitation is the completion of a task or contract. This feature does not apply to Hard Mode and NGP
The game’s sound system has been reworked and optimized (this may cause unexpected behavior in some sounds, which will be fixed in future updates)
Added an additional parameter to increase the brightness of an emissive map during daytime in the Editor

Fixed: The number of logs at logging stations now correctly matches the amount required for loading
Fixed: The last liter of fuel no longer remains when refueling an empty tank
Fixed: Add-ons and trailers can now properly be filled with water from the Water Tower
Fixed: The ‘Fertilizer Trouble’ contract no longer restarts after each game relaunch
Various visual fixes on maps
Multiple connection issues fixed on different platforms
Various mod browser fixes
Fixed: Some issues with AppStore saves
