PlayStation celebrates its 30th anniversary on the market this year. To honour this, Sony has decided to launch a commemorative website to pay tribute to the brand that has become so popular since the launch of the consoles. The new page provides an overview of information and details about devices of different generations. Here are the details
PlayStation reunites ‘old friends’
Sony’s new website features a tab dedicated to every PlayStation model released throughout the brand’s history, not forgetting portable devices. At the bottom of the page are details on all other available models, along with information on each device’s release version, available accessories and more.
It is worth noting that the portal also displays information on the number of consoles sold for each PlayStation generation. For example, the first model sold 102 million units between 1994 and 2006. The PS2, which took the leadership seat, has sold 160 million copies since 2000.
The commemorative site also mentions pocket models. The website, which contains less information than the main models, shows details of the PSP and its current successor PS Vita, although it is not a model synonymous with great success.
Similarly, this page features two generations of PS VR in addition to the PS5 and Pro version. The PS Portal is also featured here, with a more portable version of the remote player via the model’s stream.
So what do you think of this new website created by Sony?
