Sony’s new flagship Xperia 1 VII has been revealed with high-resolution CAD images and technical details ahead of its official launch. The device, which is expected to be announced in May, maintains the brand’s classic design line while offering significant innovations on the hardware side.
Sony Xperia 1 VII design revealed
Xperia 1 VII has a 6.5-inch 4K OLED screen and comes with a 120 Hz refresh rate. While there is a 12 MP front camera on the top frame, the screen frames are still a bit thick compared to previous models. The dimensions of the device are measured as 161.9 x 74.5 x 8.5 mm, and the thickness reaches 11 mm with the camera protrusion.

Sony will preserve some classic features in Xperia 1 VII. These include a fingerprint reader integrated into the power button, a physical camera button on the right side, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. We can say that dual-directional stereo speakers, a USB-C port, and a microSD-supported SIM slot are also among the striking details of the device.
There is a triple camera system on the back. The 48 MP main camera is accompanied by a 12 MP ultra-wide camera and a 12 MP periscope lens that can zoom between 70-200 mm. Although it was previously suggested that all sensors would be from Sony’s Exmor T series, recent information suggests that this will not be the case.
The device’s processing power is provided by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The Xperia 1 VII, which comes with 12 or 16 GB RAM options, will have 256 GB and 512 GB storage options. The battery capacity will be at least 5,000 mAh and will offer 30W fast charging support.
The model, which will come out of the box with the Android 15 operating system, will have a starting price of $ 1,399. So what do you think about this? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
