Sony Xperia 5 V is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC
When we look at the specs of the new device, we can say that Sony has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone. Sony Xperia 5 V gets its power from Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with Adreno 740 GPU. However, the company was expected to announce the new Xperia with Qualcomm’s upcoming next-generation chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Also, the phone has 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
The most significant feature of the smartphone is its camera system. The brand used the new 52-megapixel “Exmor T for mobile” sensor on the Xperia 5 V. Also, the phone has a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with ZEISS T* coating, Real-Time Eye AF (Human, Animal), and Real-Time Tracking supports on the back, while it has a 12-megapixel selfie camera with Exmor RS mobile sensor on the front.
On the display, the Xperia 5 V features a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED HDR screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, Creator mode “powered by CineAlta”, and more features. While the phone runs Android 13 out of the box, it has a 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging, Xperia Adaptive Charging, Battery Care, Qi Wireless charging, and Battery Share feature.
The Sony Xperia 5 V comes in Black, Blue, and Platinum Silver colors. It costs 999 Euros (which is about USD 1,085 or approximately Rs. 89,670). In the UK, it’s priced at 849 GBP. You can expect it to be available starting in late September.
