After five years of electric car studies, Sony is finally ready to bring its first vehicle to users. Developed in collaboration with Sony and Honda Mobility, the vehicle, once known as Vision-S, is now being launched under the name Afeela 1. According to the statement made by Sony, pre-orders have started, but customers will have to wait a little longer for delivery.
Afeela 1 comes in two different models and price options
Afeela 1 will be available in two different models, Origin and Signature. The Origin model has a price tag of $ 89,900, while the Signature model with more luxurious features will be available for $ 109,900. The vehicles, which will first be offered for sale in California, will meet users in mid-2026, primarily with the delivery of the Signature model. Deliveries of the Origin model will begin in 2027.
Both models include Sony’s innovative technologies. Features such as a Level 2+ autonomous driving system called Afeela Intelligent Drive, in-car personal assistant, 3D maps, spatial audio technology and 5G connectivity are offered as standard. A three-year service subscription is also included in the price… This subscription covers many services from entertainment applications to advanced driving support systems.
Afeela 1 attracts attention not only with its technical features, but also with its stylish and modern interior design. Sony aims to maximise both the driving and passenger experience of the vehicle. More details about the final version of the vehicle will be shared at an event this week.
