SpaceX, one of the fastest growing companies in the field of space transportation and satellite internet technologies in recent years, has once again attracted attention with its $15.5 billion revenue target for 2025.
SpaceX’s revenue will officially surpass NASA’s
The company’s CEO, Elon Musk, announced in a statement that SpaceX will surpass NASA’s budget in just one year. Considering the $18.8 billion budget the White House proposed to NASA for fiscal year 2026, this claim does not seem far-fetched.

The largest share of SpaceX’s growth comes not from NASA, but from the private sector. Only $1.1 billion of the company’s revenue this year comes from NASA. The remaining $14 billion is obtained from commercial launch services, private sector agreements, and Starlink internet services.
2024 was a record year for SpaceX in launch activities. The company has secured its title as the space operator with the most launches globally, with a total of 134 launches throughout the year. The 2025 target is to exceed this number.
It is stated that the company plans to close the year with 170 launches. The Starlink project makes up a large part of this busy schedule. There are currently more than 7,500 satellites in orbit within the Starlink network, which aims to provide broadband internet service worldwide.
SpaceX’s long-term goals include not only launches into orbit, but also deep space missions. The company’s 122-meter Starship rocket, designed to be fully reusable, is at the center of its Mars missions.
