Spider-Man 2 Faces Backlash from PC Players: Reviews Are Not Looking Good!
Spider-Man 2 has finally arrived on PC with high expectations, but surprisingly, it has received a “Mixed” review score on Steam. Players are complaining about frequent crashes, graphical glitches, and severe performance drops, making the game nearly unplayable. So, what are the biggest complaints from players?
Even the RTX 4090 Can’t Save It
Currently, only 55% of Spider-Man 2‘s Steam reviews are positive. Many players attempting to run the game on maximum settings report crashes, despite having high-end hardware. Even users with top-tier graphics cards like the RTX 4090 claim that the game crashes to the desktop every five minutes, making it completely unplayable.

Many players have reported that the game crashes due to a critical issue with GPU drivers and excessive system resource usage. According to Steam reviews, some users suspect that overheating GPUs, outdated drivers, or in-game settings are causing the crashes.
Some players have also mentioned that DLSS and Ray Tracing settings are not working properly, and loading times within the game are excessively long. Additionally, others believe that the game suffers from a memory leak issue, leading to further instability
Nixxes, the studio responsible for the PC port of Spider-Man 2, has responded to player complaints on Steam forums. The company stated that they are investigating the crashing and performance issues and will release an update soon.
While Nixxes is expected to roll out a performance patch in the near future, many players are choosing to wait until the game is fixed before playing.
