Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be available for PlayStation 5 in just three months, but you won’t have to wait that long to learn more about the game’s plot. A new story trailer was released at San Diego Comic-Con, a comic book convention held in San Diego. This story trailer provides us with some insights into the upcoming game.

In the new story trailer released at San Diego Comic-Con, Sony and Insomniac offer a first look at how Peter Parker finds himself becoming part of the Venom symbiote. The trailer is filled with dramatic tension. At the beginning of the trailer, Peter’s best friend Harry Osborne seeks his help to “make the world better.”

As the trailer unfolds, a voiceover likely narrates Peter Parker’s struggles after being overtaken by the Venom symbiote and his desperate need for help from his ally, Miles Morales. The end of the story trailer showcases a menacing Venom, terrorizing the city, leaving an open-ended question about who the symbiote has merged with.
Recently, the Play Store application underwent a theme color change, and Google is planning to add another new feature to it.
In addition to this striking story trailer, Sony has announced a special Spider-Man 2 PlayStation 5 and DualSense wireless controller combination that features the dark tendrils of the Venom symbiote crawling over the red colors of the Spider-Man costume. The devices have red accents resembling splatters reminiscent of blood and traces of the Venom symbiote, along with the Spider-Man logo.
Sony also announced that for users who already own a PlayStation 5, the special edition controller and PS5 console covers will be available for purchase on PlayStation Direct starting from September 1st. Jon Paquette, the Senior Narrative Director of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, provided a deeper insight into the story and added the following:
At the beginning of our story, both Peter Parker and Miles Morales are struggling with their personal lives. Miles is trying to find time to write his college entrance essay but keeps getting distracted, instead dealing with his responsibilities as Spider-Man. Meanwhile, Peter is facing financial difficulties with May Aunt’s house payments. However, he is hesitant to sell the house because it holds significant sentimental value for him. Our heroes find themselves at a crossroads with an uncertain future and some tough decisions ahead.
When Kraven’s hunters arrive in the city, a mystery unfolds regarding why they are there and who or what they are hunting. As the Spider-Men and MJ become entangled with the Kraven situation, Venom begins to pose a threat to Marvel’s New York and everything and everyone they hold dear.
