Spotify has announced that it will raise its subscription prices globally. According to the company’s official statement, the price increase will apply to South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific regions. The amount of the increase has not yet been confirmed. Spotify stated that it will notify users of the new price information via email.
Spotify Increases Subscription Prices
Since the increase also covers countries in Europe, such as Turkey, the possibility of local increases in Spotify Premium subscription fees is prominent. The company has previously updated prices in Turkey several times.

Spotify recently announced that its monthly active users reached 696 million. Premium subscribers surpassed 276 million. The company announced that it generated €4.2 billion in total revenue and €406 million in operating income in the last quarter of 2025. The latest data also revealed that Spotify employs more than 7,300 full-time employees globally.
Amid the recent developments surrounding the price increases, a separate discussion regarding the platform’s user privacy has also drawn attention. A website called “Panama Playlists” claimed to have identified the Spotify accounts of several well-known individuals and collected details about their listening history. According to the site, the data collected since the summer of 2024 includes information such as which songs were listened to, when, and how many times.
