Starlink has started selling a portable version of its satellite internet antenna called Starlink Mini. With dimensions of 30 x 25 x 4 cm, the antenna weighs only 2 kilograms. The Starlink Mini kit allows access to the company’s satellites even on the go.
According to an email sent to customers, the Starlink Mini starts at $599. It also requires a $120 monthly residential subscription and a $30 plan. With these payments, you can connect to high-speed internet from almost anywhere you want.
They installed Windows XP Tablet PC Edition on a 2011 MacBook computer. It even supports touchscreen input.
According to the company, Starlink Mini offers download speeds of over 100 Mbps. In this context, it provides internet connection anywhere in the US. It should be noted that there is a 50 GB monthly data limit before overage fees are applied.
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk stated that the installation of the mini antenna took less than five minutes. Although it will be sold in limited quantities in the first phase, its production is planned to be done internationally. This means that European users will have access to the antenna kit.
It should be noted that Starlink service is not available in Turkey. We can say that Starlink has suspended its plans to come to Turkey for a while and will reintroduce it after the regulation to be made by the authorized institutions in our country.
