Surface Laptop 5 is finally here: Price and Specs

Microsoft had a great October event on Wednesday. The company launched many new devices and upgrades, including the Surface Pro 9, Surface Studio 2+, and the Surface Laptop 5. One of the most interesting devices was the Surface Laptop 5. The new laptop comes with great features from processor to design. Here are all the details about Microsoft’s new laptop.

Surface Laptop 5 coming with Intel 12th-gen processors

Microsoft launched its most devices with the Intel 12th-gen processor, including the Surface Pro 9 and Surface Laptop 5. The new laptop is available in 13.5-inch and 15-inch models. Both models come with Intel’s 12th-gen U-series processor, Core i5-1235U or a Core i7-1255U in the 13.5-inch model and just the Core i7 in the 15-inch version.

The devices come with 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and up to 1TB of storage options. While the 13.5-inch model offers up to 18 hours of “typical device usage”, the 15-inch model offers 17 hours of battery life for typical device usage.

On the display side, the devices have 13.5-inch and 15-inch options. They come with a 2256 x 1504 resolution, a Touch Screen feature, and a 60Hz refresh rate. The company launches the new Surface Laptop 5 in Platinum and Matte Black for the 15-inch model, and Platinum, Sage, Matte Black, and Sandstone color combinations for the 13.5-inch model.

While the new Surface Laptop 5 starts at $999 for the 13.5-inch version, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage, the 15-inch model starts at $1299 with the same RAM and storage options. The devices will start shipping on October 25.
