Tata Motors has started mass production of its new all-electric SUV model, Harrier.ev, at its Pune factory. The model, which represents an important step in the company’s electric vehicle strategy, draws attention with both its technical features and the range it offers. The sales price of Harrier.ev varies between approximately 21 thousand euros and 30 thousand euros, depending on the preferred version.
Tata will introduce the electric SUV model Harrier.ev
The model is based on the internal combustion Harrier SUV introduced in 2019. Tata first adapted the Jaguar Land Rover D8 platform used in this vehicle to the internal combustion engine and now restructured it for the electric version. The new Harrier.ev comes with two different drive configurations: rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive (AWD).

The rear-wheel drive version has a permanent magnet synchronous motor that produces 175 kW of power and 315 Nm of torque. This version offers two battery options: 538 kilometers with a 65 kWh battery, and 627 kilometers with a 75 kWh battery.
The four-wheel drive version is equipped with a 116 kW induction motor at the front and the same 175 kW motor at the rear. The combined performance of this dual-motor system allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds. The AWD version offers a range of up to 622 kilometers with a 75 kWh battery pack.
Both battery options come with fast charging support. The 65 kWh battery can be charged from 20 to 80 percent in 25 minutes with a 100 kW fast charger. The 75 kWh battery can be charged in a similar amount of time when a 120 kW fast charger is used.
Tata Motors has taken an ambitious approach to battery durability. The company offers a lifetime and unlimited mileage warranty for both battery packs, exclusively for the first owners. This practice stands out as an important element of trust in Harrier.ev’s positioning in the market.
