TCL NXTPAPER 40 and NXTPAPER 40 5G launched in Europe

TCL has announced the new NXTPAPER smartphone series in Europe. Now, the company has added the TCL NXTPAPER 40 and TCL NXTPAPER 5G as the world’s first smartphones to offer full-color electronic paper-like displays. TCL NXTPAPER 40 series comes with NXTPAPER technology

The company has announced its newest NXTPAPER technology to offer a full-color electronic paper-like display on smartphones. Now, it launched the first smartphones with this technology, and the devices focus on eye comfort, certified by TÜV for low blue light. TCL says the technology offers display settings for comfortable viewing, and the phones minimize glare and fingerprints. Also, you can select full-color or black-and-white displays thanks to the NXTPAPER UI.

Let’s take a look at the specs of the new smartphones. While the 40 NXTPAPER features a 6.78-inch FHD+ NXTPAPER display, it has dual speakers, 3D boom sound powered by DTS, a 32-megapixel selfie camera, 50-megapixel main triple camera system with a 5-megapixel ultra-wide and a 2-megapixel macro camera. Also, it is powered by MediaTek Helio G88, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

On the other side, the TCL 40 NXTPAPER 5G comes with a 6.6-inch HD+ NXTPAPER display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and it has a triple camera system, including a 50-megapixel main, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Additionally, the NXTPAPER 5G gets its power from MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

The TCL 40 NXTPAPER is priced at €199, which is about USD 216 or Rs. 17,840. The TCL 40 NXTPAPER 5G version costs €249, around USD 270 or Rs. 22,300. The TCL 40 NXTPAPER will be available for purchase in Europe starting September, while the TCL 40 NXTPAPER 5G will be available in Europe from October. Both models will also become available in more countries around the world later this year.
