Telegram keeps updating itself as one of the most popular message applications. According to a Telegram post from CEO and founder Pavel Durov, Apple has been sticking an upcoming Telegram update for two weeks without an explanation. Here are the details.
Apple is not approving “revolutionary” Telegram update review
According to Pavel Durov, this update will revolutionise the application for people to express themselves in messaging. However, Apple didn’t confirm the update yet, and the company didn’t announce the topic.
Telegram CEO Pavel Durov said, “Members of our team, myself included, must be some of the luckiest people alive. The only thing we find discouraging is that we’re often unable to distribute the new versions of Telegram due to the obscure “review process” imposed on all mobile apps by the tech monopolies.”
He added, “For example, our upcoming update – revolutionising how people express themselves in messaging – has been stuck in Apple’s “review” for two weeks, without explanation or any feedback provided by Apple.” You can read the explanation below.
Pavel Durov didn’t explain what was coming with the new update, and both companies didn’t make an explanation then. There was also the same problem in 2018. Durov said that Apple had blocked updates to the Telegram iOS app after Russia banned Telegram in 2018. After this announcement, Apple confirmed the update. However, we will see what will happen with the new update.
Telegram also announced its new subscription plan. The Telegram Premium subscription costs $4.99 per month. When you purchase this subscription, you can access larger uploads, faster downloads, a voice-to-text feature, unique emoji reactions, and more.
