The Tern Vektron is back with a fresh design and smarter features. This new generation of Tern’s folding e-bike brings stronger Bosch motors, updated connectivity, and a belt-drive option that reduces day-to-day maintenance while keeping things clean on the go.
Vektron folding e-bike improves power and transport convenience

Like its predecessors, the Vektron folding e-bike is designed for flexibility. Riders can fold it for storage in a car or carry it onto public transit, where it rolls on its wheels even when folded. A reinforced pannier rack doubles as a stand, keeping the folded bike upright and steady during transfers.
Vektron folding e-bike gets Bosch Smart System integration
The biggest mechanical upgrade lies in the Bosch mid-drive motor, which now delivers 75 Nm of torque up from the previous 65 Nm. Both the Vektron P10 and Vektron P5i feature the Bosch Smart System, giving riders app-based customization and diagnostics. An optional GPS tracker adds theft protection for those storing the bike in urban settings.
Vektron P5i belt drive reduces mess and wear
For riders tired of grease-stained hands and car boots, the Vektron P5i introduces a belt-drive system paired with a five-speed hub gear. This setup reduces wear compared to chains and eliminates the grime that often comes with them. Meanwhile, the P10 leans toward a sportier ride position, offering buyers a choice in comfort and handling.
Across the range, the Vektron includes:
- Front and rear mudguards
- Integrated lighting for visibility
- Rear rack for panniers or cargo
Vektron P7i joins as a regional edition
Alongside the P5i and P10, Tern is releasing the Vektron P7i, a limited-edition model exclusive to Germany, Austria, and the Benelux region. It features a seven-speed hub gear and starts at €3,799 (about $4,500).
Vektron folding e-bike availability and pricing
The Vektron P5i and P10 will hit European markets in October 2025, starting at €3,999 (about $4,735). While Tern hasn’t confirmed broader global rollout details yet, pricing and configurations may vary by region.
A folding e-bike built for real-world riders
With more torque, smarter electronics, and a belt-drive option, the new Vektron folding e-bike looks built for commuters who need power, portability, and practicality in one machine. For riders juggling city life with limited storage, Tern’s latest update keeps the Vektron rolling forward folded or not.
