A few years ago, Tesla introduced Optimus, its humanoid robot, at an artificial intelligence day. Tesla Optimus has been developed and integrated with artificial intelligence since then. In a video shared from the company’s X account, the humanoid robot was seen working in the factory.

Tesla has been working on a humanoid robot called Optimus for the past few years. Introduced in 2021, the first prototype of this robot appeared in 2022. The company opened a social media account for the humanoid robot Optimus in X under the name @Tesla_Optimus. Tesla had previously shared posts about the robot on these social media accounts. Now he published the moments he worked in the factory.
As you can see in the video above, Tesla Optimus can do simple tasks like lining up battery cells in Tesla’s factory. According to Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, the robot can perform all these tasks completely autonomously, without human assistance.

In the video, we can also see what the humanoid robot Optimus is doing through the camera on its head. The robot can successfully arrange the battery cells in order in the box in front of it. Optimus uses end-to-end neural networks to do this.
At the same time, two-dimensional cameras, weaving sensors and force sensors work at the same time. Optimus has been trained in a factory where it works with less human intervention and can take longer walks on its own.
Optimus is a robot designed to fulfill human tasks and increase the workforce by working in the factory instead of humans when the time comes. This robot, which is planned to be offered for sale in the future, is thought to enter our homes. Although Elon Musk said that this robot will be released in 2025, it seems that the robot needs more development.
