Apple has announced the best games and apps of the year ahead of WWDC 2025, which will start on June 9. The App Store Awards, which are announced regularly every year, brought together the prominent names of the mobile app ecosystem this year.
The 2025 App Store Awards have found their winners
The winners determined within the scope of the 2025 Apple Design Awards were evaluated in titles such as innovation, interaction, inclusiveness, social impact, visual and entertainment. The awards were shared among 12 apps and games selected from 36 finalists.

CapWords was selected as the app of the year in the pleasure and entertainment category. Names such as Lumy and Denim – Playlist Cover Maker were also finalists in this category. Balatro stood out as the best in the game category. Thank Goodness You’re Here! and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown were among the finalists.
Speechify, which works on accessibility and audio content transformation, received the app award in the inclusiveness category. Evolve: Daily Self-Care Coach and Train Fitness were also on the finalist list. The game of the year under this title was Art of Fauna, which attracted attention with its theme of natural life. The finalists following it were puffies. and Land of Livia.

The application that won the award in the innovation category was Play, which stood out with its user interface design. Moises and Capybara AI Meeting Translator were on the list as finalists. In the same category, the title of game of the year was given to PBJ — The Musical, which offers a different experience with its musical structure. Other finalists include Pawz and Gears & Goo.
Taobao, an e-commerce application based in China, which attracted attention with its user experience, received an award in the interaction category. Other notable applications in this field were iA Writer and Mela – Recipe Manager. On the gaming side, DREDGE, which stands out with its deep atmosphere and controlled gameplay, took first place. Gears & Goo and Skate City: New York were again on the finalist list.
Watch Duty: Wildfire Maps, an application that offers real-time maps for fighting forest fires, was awarded in the social impact category. Ground News and Opal were also evaluated as finalists in this category. In the game category, Neva, which stands out with its emotional narrative, became the winner of this category. The finalist games were Ahoy! From Picardy and Art of Fauna.
In the visual and graphic design category, Feather: Draw in 3D application, which offers a 3D drawing experience, was chosen as the best. Vocabulary – Learn words daily and CellWalk were on the list as finalists in this category. In the game category, Infinity Nikki, which attracts attention with its wide open world and detailed character designs, stood out. Control Ultimate Edition and Neva, which was mentioned once again, were among the finalists in this category.
