Renault has confirmed that the all-new sixth-generation Clio will make its debut at this year’s Munich Motor Show, with a preview event scheduled for September 8.
The 2026 Renault Clio is making its debut
Currently holding the title of Europe’s best-selling car with its facelifted fifth-generation version, the upcoming Clio is set to go on sale in early 2026. This new model marks one of the most significant overhauls the iconic hatchback has undergone in its history.

The sixth-gen Clio will feature a sharper, more aggressive front fascia and introduce new design elements such as a dual-layer rear spoiler. Most notably, it will drop all-petrol variants entirely and be offered exclusively with a hybrid powertrain.
Rather than being an update of its predecessor, the new Clio is a completely redesigned model. However, it will still be built on an improved version of the CMF-B platform to enhance efficiency and reduce production costs. Renault is also equipping it with an upgraded version of its existing E-Tech hybrid system. Power will come from a combination of a naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine and two electric motors, delivering a total of 143 horsepower and 205 Nm of torque.
