Porsche is preparing to introduce its fully electric SUV model, the Cayenne EV, towards the end of 2025. The new model, which was seen in the US during test drives, attracted attention with its sporty coupe design.
The fully electric Porsche Cayenne is coming
The Cayenne EV will be Porsche’s largest electric model to date and will offer a strong performance that reflects the brand’s genetic heritage. The new vehicle will use the PPE platform that forms the basis of the Audi Q6 e-Tron, but Porsche will equip this platform with updates specifically for the Cayenne.

Considering the 495-kilometer range of the electric Macan, the Cayenne EV is expected to offer a similar range. In terms of design, the new Cayenne EV maintains Porsche’s design language, while coming with a more sloping roof structure and sharp lines. The closed grille structure at the front and the renewed lighting group are among the important details that emphasize that the vehicle is electric.
Porsche had recently updated its internal combustion and hybrid engine Cayenne models. However, CEO Oliver Blume claimed that the fully electric version will set new standards in its class. The introduction of the Cayenne EV at the end of 2025 will significantly strengthen the brand’s presence in the electric vehicle market.
In addition, Porsche is also working on a larger and more luxurious electric SUV codenamed “K1” in 2027. Determined to expand its electric product range, Porsche will come out with a new generation of SUV models that combine performance and elegance.
